Commission Information

The New York Film Academy does not work on NET invoicing, solely GROSS.  Full payment is due 1 month before the start of the course and when 60 percent of the course is complete you will then send us an invoice for 15 percent of the total tuition paid.

An official invoice from you or your agency is required to be submitted for commission payments to be processed.

Please include the student name, student ID number, program name, program dates, and total tuition paid for each student for whom commission is payable, on company letterhead.

Commission invoices for academic year and degree programs are processed quarterly: in the first week of April for programs with registration in January; in the first week of August for programs with registration in May; and in the first week of November for programs with registration in August.

Commissions invoices for workshops and summer camps are processed at 60 percent completion of the workshop or summer camp.

In addition, in order for any commission to be paid through a U.S. bank, NYFA requires completion of certain IRS Forms. Please download one one of the following:

  • If you are a US person use W9.
  • If you are a foreign individual use W8 BEN
  • If you are a foreign entity use W8 BEN-E

Send the completed IRS Form W-8BEN with the first invoice only. It is required to be on file each year for payments to be made in any calendar year.
